Zig Zag Border with the Envelope Punch Board

Zig Zag Border with the Envelope Punch Board

I’ve always love scalloped edges on my cards, either as a border or as an accent. The scallop border punch was  retired this year so I wanted to try something new and I LOVE this! It was pretty easy to do once I figured out the math to line the zig zags up just right. This zig zag border with the envelope punch board is awesome and I’ll definitely be doing it again. In fact, I already have used this method to create accents on other cards. I figured with this fancy edge, it was best to leave everything else relatively simple. Some embossing on white and a little colourful accent with a scallop circle punch and a sentiment from the Work of Art stamp set was all that was needed. Oh, and some bling to set it off!

I really love this card and I can’t wait to send it to it’s owner.

I wrote myself a little tutorial so that I don’t forget the measurements for next time. There was a little bit of trial and error, but it was worth it in the end! This technique is perfect for Aussie sized cards.
